Circa 1890's, the archetypal splendorous Victorian crescent moon brooch, set with rich Rubies and hand cut Diamonds! Known as a 'honeymoon' brooch in the Victorian era, the crescent symbolised 'the delights of the night' and so was often gifted by a groom to his bride. Thirteen beautifully matched hand cut naturally pinky toned Rubies interspersed with twenty-four sweet old cut Diamonds, the whole is a masterpiece of opulent vivaciousness and antique romance.
