Circa 1890's, a gorgeous old-fashioned crescent moon bar brooch richly encrusted with beautiful deep pink Rubies and twinkly Diamonds. A design very popular in her day and oft referred to as a Honeymoon brooch as depicting the magic of the moon and what we might now describe as 'feminine energies' (Venus being the Goddess of Love and having an association with the Moon). The gems themselves have that desirable deep, clear fuschia hue seen in stones from the Burmese mines.
Crafted in 18ct yellow Gold with a Silver pie crust setting to the gems, all is quite lovely. Measures 4.5cm lengthwise with gems to the terminals. Please note there is one replacement diamond in a more modern cut.
